Carrying on from my last post here  I thought it would be a good idea to show you how these worksheets can be used.

SHAPES

 HOW TO

  • Show and name the different shapes to your child or children.
  • Get them to trace the outline.
  • For this exercise, you can also print an extra copy and cut out the pieces (I printed mine onto thin orange cardboard.)
  • Get your children to place the pieces onto the corresponding shapes.

What you can teach with this exercise

Sentence structure

  • “What shape is it?”
  • “Which one is Square” etc.
  • “Show me the…”
  • “Trace the…”

Vocabulary

  • Square
  • Circle
  • Triangle
  • Star, etc..
  • Trace

FRUIT AND VEGETABLES (I LIKE / I DON’T LIKE)

HOW TO

  • Get your child or children to repeat after you the different names of the fruit and vegetables.
  • Get them to then cut out the pieces and paste them under the heading according to which fruit or veg. they like or don’t like.

What you can teach with this exercise

Sentence structure

  • “Do you like…?”
  • “What fruit is it?”
  • “What vegetable is it?”
  • “What fruit/vegetable do you like?”
  • “I like…”
  • “I don’t like..”

Vocabulary

  • Apple
  • Banana
  • Strawberry
  • Tomato
  • Broccoli
  • carrot, etc.

ANIMALS DO TALK

HOW TO

  • Teach your child or children the names and sounds of the animals.
  • Get them to then cut out the pieces and paste the speech bubbles next to the correct animal.
  • (Make sure you supervise or help the kids while using scissors.)  😊

What you can teach with this exercise

Sentence structure

  • “What animal is it?”
  • “What sound does it make?”
  • “This is a…”
  • “Do you like…?”

  • Cat
