Classroom Phrases (English/Italian)

CLASSROOM PHRASES

Are you trying to get your ESL kids to not speak their native language in the classroom?

Anyone who teaches English as a second language, will know that trying to get your students to speak in English can be difficult. sometimes, a lack of grammar and vocabulary doesn’t help.

To limit the use of their native language in the classroom, I like them to, at least, use some basic classroom phrases, especially if they need to ask any questions.

CLASSROOM PHRASES

Here is a list, I compiled, of some classroom phrases that they can easily memorise and use.

The list consists of seven phrases with the phonetic pronunciation and Italian translation.

You can give your students the list to memorise at home as homework.

CLASSROOM PHRASES

Here are a set of the same classroom phrases (without the Italian translation).

I printed these onto coloured paper and laminated them. Give one to your students to keep on their desks as a quick reference guide. Hopefully, when they have memorised the phrases, they won’t need them anymore.
